If you’re a regular blog reader, you just might be a frequent Learning and the Brain conference attendee. (I got my start in 2007, and haven’t stopped since.)

We’re gathering — starting tomorrow! — at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to discuss Educating with Empathy: cultivating kindness, compassion, empathy, and good behavior.

Many of the speakers have featured recently on the blog. John Medina’s most recent book has shown up at least twice.

Rebecca Gotleib — this blog’s book reviewer — will be presenting on the power of teens’ social-emotional skills.

And I’ll be offer a pre-conference session: “Understanding Adolescence, Teaching Adolescents.” We’ll be talking about teenage cognition, emotion — and even technology use.
