As educators, we see the struggle. Even within the same classroom, some students—though not always the same ones—engage readily because learning feels meaningful and achievable. At the same time, other students may disengage, resist instruction, or express frustration through statements such as “I’m bored” or “I hate school.” These responses are not a reflection of ability, but of how the learning experience is processed. Importantly, this pattern can be changed through intentional instructional practice.
This webinar provides sustained, evidence-informed professional learning focused on strengthening teacher effectiveness through a neuroscience-based understanding of how sensitive learners process instruction. Participants will examine why commonly used instructional strategies may fail for some students and will learn how to calibrate classroom language and internal student messaging so that it is goal-directed, supportive, and aligned with how the brain learns. Grounded in research on cognitive processing and self-regulation, this session equips educators with immediately applicable strategies that can be integrated into daily instruction.
