CE Credits

ERI is able to provide credits that qualify for the education departments in most states and are accepted by most districts. You may wish to check whether your state's Department of Education requires special approved provider status. ERI is a specifically approved provider in the Departments of Education in the states of NY and WA.

Educator Resources, Inc. (ERI), the producers of the Learning & Brain seminars, is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. ERI maintains responsibility for the program. Psychologists and school psychologists must complete the evaluation form in their program book in order to receive credit.

1:00pm – 2:00pm: List the goals of challenging behaviors and proactive responses supported by research; Demonstration of how children develop important life skils; Reconition of the long term effects of rewards and punishments
2:00pm – 2:15pm: Break
2:15pm – 3:15pm: Explain what the research says about discipline that works; Wrap Up & Discussion

Kelly Gfroerer, PhD, is Executive Director of the Positive Discipline Association. She has worked as a teacher, school counselor, and educational consultant for over two decades. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Georgia State University. She has a wide variety of work experience implementing Positive Discipline in schools as well as supporting families. Kelly is a frequent speaker on Positive Discipline and a Positive Discipline Certified Trainer. Kelly is the co-author of the books, Positive Discipline Tools for Teachers and Positive Discipline in the Classroom Tool Cards. Both these publications include practical, easy to implement tools that teach social and emotional life skills. Kelly also has published in academic journals on a variety of research topics including stress management and how belonging impacts personality development and learning.

For some social workers in NY state, they may not be applicable without special approval.

However, you can submit your own request to your organization for approval to receive credits at the conference. Simply submit the following documents to your organization to request CE approval. Print the Conference Program and Schedule, Conference Brochure, and the Evaluation Form sample documents and submit them to you organization or district for approval.
