Ron Claassen, MA, DMin

Professor Emeritus, Co-Founder and Director (1990 – 2011) of the Center for Peacemaking and Conflict Studies at Fresno Pacific University, Founder (1982) of the Fresno County Victim Offender Reconciliation Program, the first in California, author of the Fundamental Principles of Restorative Justice adopted by UN NGO Working Party on Rrestorative Justice, designer of models and strategies for constructive conflict resolution, and RJ consultant/trainer throughout the US and abroad. Ron is also the recipient of numerous awards including the 2007 Carl and Esther Robinson Award “Outstanding Advocate for the Common Good” and the 2012 California Dispute Resolution Council’s Ester Soriano Award for Excellence in Community Mediation.
