Cognitive Load Theory is one of the most popular and powerful psychological theories in education. Teachers worldwide are actively using the strategies based on it to improve their teaching. But what does the theory actually say, how does it help avoid overloading memory to maximize learning, and how can we use it in the classroom? In this online webinar, Dr. Zach Groshell will discuss what Cognitive Load Theory is, the experimental studies that support it, and how teachers can use this research to inform and improve their teaching.
