Memory Creation and Preservation

 

9:00 AM- 10:15 AM Use brain research-based strategies of patterning to turn sensory data into memory

10:30 AM- 12:00 PM Differentiate instruction to student’s individual achievable challenge levels for class management, student motivation, and reaching highest potentials
12:00 PM- 1:00 PM Working lunch: Participants groups apply new material to their units of instruction
1:00 PM- 2:45 PM Only the person who thinks, learns. Brain research-based instructional strategies to increase student participation for accurate and increased memory storage

3:00 PM- 4:00 PM Using advances in neuroplasticity and neurotransmitter research to promote long-term memory

Presentations and in-depth reflection

10:30 AM- 11:30 AM Participants and instructors work to construct a set of summarizing principles for what was learned and accomplished during the institute. What implementations or changes will you take back from the new information generated about the intersection of neuroscience and education?
