A June 2013 report called “Recovery: Job Growth and Education Requirements Through 2020,” found that 96 percent of all occupations will require critical thinking skills. New Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards also stress critical thinking and creative problem solving. Research in the fields of brain, cognitive and mind sciences are providing new insights into critical and creative thinking and intelligence.
